Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, has warned that all judges risk removal easily over flimsy reasons if the removal process for Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo is successful.

According to him, the context under which the processes have been triggered raises questions about the genuineness of the petitions and processes.

In an exclusive interview with Channel One News, Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah warned that removing Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo-whose processes he described as more robust than those of her peers-could set a precedent for targeting other judges simply for delivering unfavourable rulings. "When you are able to remove the Chief Justice, then it will be easier to remove any judge of our court because the threshold for the removal of the Chief Justice is high.

When you look at Article 146, there is a provision for the removal of superior court judges, and there is a provision for the removal of the Chief Justice.
