Appiah-Kubi Baidoo, a former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency in the Western North Region, has officially resigned from the party, citing years of maltreatment.

In a letter addressed to the constituency chairman of the NPP, Baidoo said the decision to leave the party follows prolonged mistreatment of both himself and his immediate family, despite numerous appeals to the party's leadership. "This decision has been arrived at following years of maltreatment meted out to me and my immediate family by the party.

All efforts, including written appeals to get the attention of the National Executives, have yielded no results," he stated.

Baidoo expressed his appreciation to the NPP for the opportunity to serve in various capacities, including as a District Chief Executive and as a three-time parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
