The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has slammed President John Dramani Mahama for what he calls "reckless politics" in relation to the ongoing Bawku conflict.
Speaking on the escalating tensions-one of the key issues discussed at the NPP's meeting on Wednesday, April 16-Nana B expressed deep concern about the deteriorating security situation in the area, particularly following the recent killing of two police officers and the conflicting reports that followed.
He pointed out that while the Ghana Police Service has attributed the attacks to armed robbery, he believes they were targeted assaults on law enforcement. "The Bawku issue is getting out of hand and shockingly you have a whole IGP who goes in there and it looks like he was even shocked for his life.
We've had two police shot dead.
