Some cultures in Ghana, including that of the Ga people, believe in reincarnation, also known as rebirth or transmigration, a religious or philosophical belief that one's spirit, after biological death, begins a new life in a new body that may be human or animal. Nuumo Gbelenfo, the Wulomo (priest) of Osu Gua, is one of the people believed to have been reincarnated. Speaking in an interview with Ablade TV Online, Nuumo Gbelenfo narrated the circumstances surrounding his birth and his life afterwards. The priest said that he was in his mother's womb for more than a year. He added that a priestess advised his mother and grandmother to go to his father's house at Osu for rituals in order for him to be birthed.
