A presidential hopeful and leader of the All Progressive Party, Dr , has bemoaned the poor leadership displayed by both NDC and NPP governments entrusted with the mandate to serve. Speaking on GhanaWeb TV's Election Desk with Etsey Atisu, Dr Ayariga said that the leaders have failed the citizens and left them dejected, despite being entrusted with the power to implement good policies to improve economic conditions. "The leaders who have ruled this country have failed us and every good thing is expensive. There's nothing that comes out and it's cheap and you think that it's good." Dr Ayariga emphasised that the country's youth have no future due to the lack of job opportunities following years of education. "You talk about jobs and the youth of this country don't have jobs, they come out of schools and there are no jobs. So there is no future for any young man living in Ghana under the two leaderships," he stated. He added that the country remains in a deplorable state despite the democratic changes in government every 8 years for the last 32 years.
