The National Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has rejected suggestions that the John Mahama government has been slow in prosecuting officials of the former government suspected of engaging in corruption.
Some NDC party faithful have expressed concerns over the lack of action against appointees of the Akufo-Addo administration who are believed to have embezzled large sums of state funds.
Certain officials of the former administration have dismissed the Mahama government's efforts, insisting that they cannot be prosecuted.
However, speaking in an interview on Accra FM, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah urged party members to exercise patience as the Attorney General conducts the necessary investigations to ensure that those brought before the courts for corruption will have no escape route.
