The Member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Atta Issah, has acknowledged the contributions of both the Akufo-Addo and Mahama administrations to Ghana's economic growth.

His comments follow the IMF's recent statement acknowledging that while Ghana's economy grew more than anticipated in 2024, driven by robust performance in the mining and construction sectors, there were concerns about fiscal slippages ahead of the general elections and delays in key reforms.

Speaking on Citi FM's Eyewitness News, with Umaru Sanda Amadu, Issah emphasised that the country's progress is a result of cumulative efforts across successive governments. "For me, I know that the NDC should get the credit, as well as the NPP who just left power should also get credit in terms of how we managed this IMF programme," Mr Issah stated.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Government of Ghana on Tuesday, April 15, reached a staff-level agreement on the fourth review of Ghana's three-year Extended Credit Facility (ECF)-supported program.
