The Minority in Parliament has extended financial assistance to victims of the Kantamanto Market fire, donating GHS200,000 to support affected traders.
The devastating fire broke out on January 2, 2025, consuming parts of the market and causing significant losses for many business owners.
In response, the Minority Caucus, led by Alexander Afenyo-Markin, visited the market on Tuesday April 15 to assess the damage and offer relief.
During the visit, Afenyo-Markin emphasised the importance of government intervention, urging officials to tap into the Contingency Fund to provide further assistance. "We appeal to the government to come to your aid.
