The Accra East Region of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has inaugurated a new 11 KV feeder at Teshie New England, a significant step towards enhancing power supply in the region.
The newly constructed feeder is designed to improve the quality and reliability of power supply, significantly reducing instances of power outages and low voltage that customers at Teshie, Tseaddo, Chain Homes and surrounding areas have been experiencing.
Mr Bismark Otoo, the Regional General Manager of the Accra East Region, explained that the construction of this feeder aligns with ECG's commitment to providing safe, quality, and reliable electricity to consumers.
He noted that the existing feeder serving the area was overloaded, resulting in frequent outages and low voltage due to high load demands. "We recognised that customers in this enclave were facing regular outages and low voltage because of the excess load on the old feeder.
