The government has reaffirmed its commitment to revitalising Ghana's business sector, with plans to establish over 600 enterprises by the end of President John Dramani Mahama's four-year term.

This ambitious target aligns with the upcoming Kwahu Business Forum scheduled for Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The forum will serve as a strategic platform for dialogue between financial institutions and the private sector, aimed at unlocking investment and shaping supportive policy frameworks.

Speaking at a press briefing, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah said the forum could inject significant capital into the economy and generate sustainable employment. "Once a business starts, it stimulates the local economy where the business is situated, and people get employed, they get money, and they pay their taxes, they buy other products from other people and then our economy is stimulating and growing.
