The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Divine Otoo Agorhom, has argued that the arrest of Mohammed Amadou Zakuo over a Facebook post lacks merit and raises concerns about free expression.
This comes after scores of NPP supporters gathered at the Kawukudi office of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) to protest the arrest and detention of Zakuo.
Mohammed was reportedly picked up on Saturday by NIB officials following a post he made on Facebook concerning the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang.
In an interview on Channel One Newsroom on Sunday, April 13, Agorhom underscored that the post in question does not justify arrest or detention, emphasizing the need for clarity in interpreting public communication.
