Contractors working on the Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange have announced that the second phase of the project is expected to be completed by July 2025.

They attribute the delays to financial challenges.

In the meantime, however, the interchange is showing signs of neglect-mirroring the fate of many other interchanges across Accra.

By 6:25 a.m., homeless individuals can be seen using the underpass as a space for bathing and freshening up after spending the night on the pavements and open ground beneath the overhead.
