The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno on Saturday, April 12, continued his working visit to Bawku.

The visit, among other things, is aimed at assessing the current security situation and restoring cooperation and good relations between the Police and the youth of the community.

This follows a violent confrontation on Thursday, April 10, between police and some youth in the Bawku enclave, which reportedly resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

The private residence of the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga, was also allegedly set ablaze during the unrest.
