A third-year student, Davis Frimpong Manso, from the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Takoradi campus, has reportedly passed away under tragic circumstances.
According to multiple social media reports, the late student allegedly consumed poisoned food, which resulted in his death a few hours later.
Numerous social media accounts, accompanied by videos and bereavement messages, suggest that Davis had been awarded a scholarship to study abroad just days before his passing.
Some reports claim that the poisoned food was shared with his roommate, who has since gone missing.
