The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has issued a heartfelt apology to the people of Bawku, acknowledging public concerns regarding the conduct of police officers and reaffirming the police service's commitment to neutrality and peace in the area.

The IGP offered the apology during a visit to the Bawku Naba on Friday, April 11, 2025. "Where we have gone wrong, please forgive us.

We ask the people of Bawku to forgive us for any shortcomings in the course of our duties," he said. "We assure you that we will assign men and women to work here who will remain neutral.

And if you feel that any of our officers have acted inappropriately and you wish to raise it with us, we are ready to listen," he added.
