A newly trained teacher, posted to the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality in the Western Region for her one-year national service, has recounted the daunting experience she faced while traveling to inspect the school where she has been assigned.

The teacher described her journey from a nearby town to the village school as a grueling one-hour ride on a motorbike.

She navigated through a dilapidated road that winds through dense bush, which she said was in such poor condition that it made the trip extremely difficult and uncomfortable.

Upon reaching her destination, she was greeted by the sight of the school - a modest, mud-and-wooden structure located next to a cocoa farm.
