Some supporters of the ruling (NDC) at the Asante Mampong Municipal Assembly are up in arms over President 's nomination of Esther Dwomoh as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the area.
A viral video sighted by shows supporters of the NDC ransacking the party's office in the municipality, vandalising the party's properties, and openly setting some of the items, including office furniture, ablaze on April 10, 2025.
One of the videos shows the NDC supporters burning items of the party right in front of the office.
A number of the supporters could be heard saying that they are "going to collapse the party".
