The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr.
Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has led a high-powered delegation to Bawku following a violent confrontation that claimed the life of a civilian and left several others, including security personnel, injured.
According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service on April 10, 2025, the IGP was accompanied by a team of operations, investigation, and intelligence officers to the troubled town in the Upper East Region.
The trip was aimed at obtaining firsthand information and assessing the current security situation.
