Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno has led a team of operations, investigation, and intelligence officers to Bawku in the Upper East Region to assess the security situation in the enclave.
This visit followed a violent clash between some youth and the police, resulting in the death of one individual, Fuseini Iddrisu, and injuries to five others, including a police officer and an immigration officer.
All injured persons are currently receiving medical attention.
The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Armed Forces, restored calm to the area on April 9, 2025.
