The Ghana Police Service has arrested a suspect captured in a viral video assaulting a young man with a machete near a fuel tanker.
According to a statement shared on the Police Service's official Facebook page today, the suspect, identified as Dawuda Sumaila, was apprehended on 9th April 2025 through an intelligence-led operation.
Sumaila, who works as a tanker driver's mate, is currently in police custody and assisting with ongoing investigations.
The violent incident reportedly occurred on Friday, 4th April 2025, at Anyinam in the Eastern Region.
