All 57 members of the Jaman South Municipal Assembly of the Bono Region have endorsed Siata Watara, the President's nominee as the Jaman Municipal Chief Executive for the area.
The President's nominee received an overwhelming endorsement from the Assembly Members, securing 55 'yes' votes in an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Drobo, the municipal capital.
In her acceptance speech, Madam Watara said she remained focused to push sustainable development, pledging to collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve her vision for the municipality of creating more jobs and enhancing the socio-economic livelihoods of the people.
She said she had prioritised improved security, education, and agriculture, and pledged to promote transparency and accountability as well as gender equality, equity and inclusivity in decision-making processes.
