The Centre for Public Opinion and Awareness (CenPOA), a non-partisan, non-governmental civil organisation, has urged former President to leverage his influence as a former Ghanaian leader to raise funds for the completion of the National Cathedral.
CenPOA made this appeal in a statement released on April 9, 2025.
According to the organisation, the end of President Akufo-Addo's tenure does not render his desire to complete the National Cathedral a lost cause.
The group, therefore, encouraged the former president to use his post-presidency clout to raise private funds to fulfill his vision. "We encourage former President Akufo-Addo to fulfill his vow to God using private means.
