The newly appointed Managing Director of Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited, Alhaji Ishaq Dauda, says he is on a mission to revive the struggling company and set it on a path of long-term growth.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, in Sekondi, Alhaji Dauda admitted that the company was battling serious challenges when he took over - including the shutdown of its processing plant and unpaid salaries owed to workers.
He assured the minister that his administration was already working hard to fix these issues. "My vision is to leave this company better than I met it," he said, adding that his immediate focus has been improving administrative structures, streamlining operations, and boosting efficiency.
Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson congratulated him and pledged his support, urging him to stay dedicated and innovative in tackling the task ahead. "We trust that with your energy and commitment, the company will bounce back stronger and create opportunities for our people," the minister added.
