Czech President Petr Pavel is set for a two-day official visit on Tuesday, April 8, 2025-marking the first time in over 60 years that a Czech or former Czechoslovak head of state has set foot in the West African country.
The visit aims to strengthen diplomatic ties and expand economic cooperation between Ghana and the Czech Republic.
Following a two-day stop in Mauritania, President Pavel will land in Accra today and receive an official welcome at Jubilee House, the seat of Ghana's presidency.
He will then hold bilateral talks with President John Dramani Mahama, with discussions expected to focus on trade, investment, and economic collaboration.
