The United States has clarified that its recently announced 10% tariff on imports from Ghana will not affect key commodities such as oil, gas, and other energy-related products.

This assurance came during a high-level meeting between U.S.

Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, and Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra.

Also present were Deputy Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Sampson Ahi, and officials from the Trade Ministry.
