One more voice adding to this conversation is award-winning gospel artist Cwesi Oteng, who has revealed the intense opposition he faced from fellow musicians at the start of his career. Speaking on Joy Prime's Changes with Roselyn Felli, Cwesi recounted how his unique sound and sudden rise stirred envy among some established acts within the gospel fraternity.
According to him, his debut shook things up in a space that had long embraced a certain style, and that disruption didn't sit well with everyone."When I stepped out into gospel music, I was like a fresh idea and I started breaking a lot of grounds where gospel had not entered.
