The Ghana Chamber of Mines has announced the appointment of Ahmed Dasana Nantogmah as Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following the retirement of Dr Sulemanu Koney.

Dr Koney, who served the Chamber for over two decades, including 10 years as CEO, retired in March 2025 after reaching the statutory retirement age in April 2024.

Dr Koney's tenure was marked by transformative leadership and numerous contributions to Ghana's mining sector.

Joining the Chamber in 2000 as the Director of Analysis, Research, and Finance, he became CEO in 2014 and spearheaded initiatives aimed at fostering collaboration between mining companies and the government.
