Former Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has voiced her displeasure with her party's disciplinary committee after a series of miscommunications left her in the dark about the postponement of a scheduled hearing. Adwoa Safo was summoned to the NPP's disciplinary committee following her comments on JoyNews' The Pulse show, which the party leadership considered a breach of an earlier directive.
The directive prohibited members from engaging in discussions that could stir discontent or unrest within the party ranks.Fully prepared for the hearing, the former lawmaker arrived at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, on Monday, April 7, only to find that no committee members were present.
Instead, she was met by a lone party official, leaving her disappointed and frustrated.
The party had served her with a summons letter the previous Sunday but failed to inform her of any changes to the plans. "There was no committee sitting today," Adwoa Safo explained. "I had an engagement with a national party officer, but there was no hearing.
