Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, has reassured the public of the enduring strength of bilateral relations between the United States and Ghana, despite recent tensions over a newly imposed 10% tariff on Ghanaian exports.

The Ambassador's remarks followed a closed-door meeting with Ghana's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Accra.

The discussions, which lasted over an hour, centred on the implications of the tariff and ways to sustain robust trade ties between the two nations.
