The Centre for Democratic Movement (CDM) has called on President to take proactive measures to clarify allegations of drug trafficking into the country.
The group noted that if security agencies fail to properly investigate the allegations, Ghana could be perceived by the international community as a corridor for narcotics trafficking.
They emphasised that Ghana cannot become a hub for drug trafficking, considering the negative repercussions on its citizens and the potential damage to the country's international reputation.
In a statement released on April 6, 2025, CDM warned that a lack of appropriate action could undermine investor confidence and lead to diplomatic tensions. "Any hint of complicity, silence, or obstruction risks portraying Ghana as a permissive corridor for transnational criminal operations.
