The quiet farming community of Nyanoa in the Upper West Akim District of the Eastern Region has been thrown into mourning following the death of a 45-year-old farmer, Azumah Zakari.
According to police reports, Azumah met his untimely death on Saturday, April 5, 2025, after a heated confrontation over a piece of land turned bloody.
Eyewitness accounts suggest that the farmer was allegedly shot in the left leg by two suspected land guards identified as Kobby Asaa and his accomplice, known only as Red.
The duo, who are well-known in the area for their violent land guard activities, are currently on the run.
