Executive Director of Africa Education Watch, Kofi Asare, has indicated that the government will fail if they use the previous government as a yardstick in the fight against galamsey.
He is of the view that there was no fight against illegal mining during the tenure of the previous administration.
Therefore, the current government must not in any way use what happened previously as a yardstick for the current fight against the menace.
In a post shared via social media he said "If Murtala uses the past gov't as a standard to measure success in the Galamsay fight, this gov't will fail abysmally before Ghanaians. This is b'cos there was no fight.
