Ghana is set to host the President of the Czech Republic, His Excellency Petr Pavel, for a three-day state visit from April 8 to 10, 2025.

This visit marks a historic moment, as it will be the first by a Czech leader since diplomatic ties were first established between Ghana and then-Czechoslovakia in October 1959.

A statement issued by the Presidency's Communications Office confirmed that President John Dramani Mahama will receive the Czech leader, making this the first official state visit under his leadership since his return to office in January 2025.

During his stay in Ghana, President Pavel will engage in high-level discussions with President Mahama, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.
