Former Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Samuel Dubik Mahama, has refuted allegations in a recent investigative report on the alleged missing ECG containers, asserting that he was never given the chance to respond to claims made against him. "I was never called.

I was never called and asked my opinion about this report," Mahama stated.

Speaking on the Asaase Breakfast Show, he expressed concern that despite being mentioned in the report, he was not given the opportunity to present his side. "As the former managing director of ECG, my name is mentioned in that report, and accusations are levelled against me, yet I was never given an opportunity to present my side of the story." Mahama further questioned the accuracy of the report's claims, highlighting inconsistencies regarding the location of the missing containers. "Did the minister say the containers were in the custody of ECG?

The report says they were at Tema Port. "That clearly means the containers were not fully under ECG's control," he argued. "If the containers were missing under ECG's full custody, then you can throw whatever stones you want.
