President John Mahama has nominated another batch of individuals to serve as District Chief Executives (DCEs) across the country, pending approval by their respective District Assemblies.

This move, in line with the provisions of the 1992 Constitution and the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), is aimed at strengthening local governance and improving development at the grassroots level.

The nominations include candidates for districts in several regions.

Among the nominees are Richard Ofori-Agyemang Boadi for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly in the Ashanti region, Adjei Mensah for Techiman South in Bono East, Asante Boateng for Sunyani West and Hajia Fati Abubakar for Berekum East in Bono Region, and James Wor for Daffiama Bussie Issa in Upper West Region.
