Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Edem Agbana, has refuted claims indicating that the Mahama government has exhibited less commitment toward the fight against illegal mining popularly known as galamsey.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Friday, April 4, he noted that the recovery of destroyed lands and water bodies does not happen in a day. "So far, so good, the fight against galamsey since January 7, 2025, I have monitored the government's response to the galamsey menace keenly.
We have shown total commitment to the fight against galamsey.
It is not a fight that can be won in a day, weeks, or months, but we have made significant gains," he said.
