The EMIs Chamber of Ghana, representing all Dedicated Electronic Money Issuers (DEMIs) such as AT Money, G-Money, Mobile Money Limited, Telecel Cash, and Zeepay, has announced that refunds of the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) charged on transactions from April 2, 2025, will be completed by Monday, April 7, 2025.

This action follows a directive from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) issued on April 2, 2025, instructing all entities to stop charging the E-Levy.

The directive is in line with the government's repeal of the levy under the Electronic Transfer Levy (Repeal) Act, 2025 (Act 1128).

The Chamber confirmed that all member institutions have complied with the directive and are actively processing refunds.
