President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr.
Alhassan Iddrisu as the Acting Government Statistician, pending consultations with the Council of State.
Dr.
Iddrisu, a seasoned economist and Director of the Economic Strategy and Research Division at the Ministry of Finance, has played a key role in macroeconomic analysis, forecasting, and policy research. "He provides technical guidance for the preparation of the Ghana Macroeconomic Outlook Report and contributes to the National Budget and Economic Policy," the statement noted.
