Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for South Dayi Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has voiced concerns over Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin's leadership style, urging him to use the parliamentary recess to reassess his approach. "We all are (concerned) because you see, he is not the first minority leader we've had in this country, and he has been a majority leader before. "We had cause to complain about his style as a majority leader, and now four months down the line, he's found himself on the other side of the aisle," Dafeamekpor stated.
Speaking on Channel One Newsroom, he recalled Afenyo-Markin's tenure as Majority Leader.
He noted that his tendency to frequently hold press conferences, take issues to court, and stage walkouts-sometimes on matters initiated by his own party-had raised eyebrows. "You recall how as majority leader he always held press conferences even though he was in government.
He will take matters to court and will dramatise, and with the slightest matter on the floor, they will walk out, sometimes on their own business," he remarked.
