Journalist Kwaku Dawuro has cast doubt on 's religious beliefs, asserting that the former Assin Central legislator is not a Christian who acknowledges the existence of Jesus Christ.
Speaking on Movement in the Morning on Movement TV and Wontumi Radio, Dawuro suggested that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) would be better off supporting a leader who fosters unity rather than one who creates division.
His remarks appeared to be a direct response to Agyapong, who, according to Dawuro, had previously stirred tensions within the church through outspoken criticisms of religious leaders ahead of the 2020 elections.
Referencing a meeting between Agyapong and a group of lawyers, Dawuro claimed the former MP had attributed the NPP's potential loss in the 2024 elections to the party's decision to field a Muslim flagbearer.
