Ghanaian singer, Mzbel, has explained why she has shunned the Christian religion and immersed herself more in tradition.

Speaking in a recent interview, Mzbel pushed back on claims that she's anti-Christian, noting she's just not a believer in the religion but has never spoken against other people's right to practice their own faith.

Mzbel noted that personally, she is more interested in our own traditional religions that the religion of outsiders.

She said as an African, she prefers to cherish African religions, but that does not mean she is against Christianity."If it (Christianity) works for you, fine, but me this is what works for me," Mzbel said. "I feel like I'm opening the way for other people who are like me to boldly do that.
