The former president, , is being blamed for the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) huge defeat in the 2024 Election.

According to a poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics, about 68 percent of Ghanaians attributed NPP's defeat to Akufo-Addo's bad governance, which they say affected the economy, livelihoods, among others.

Though the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's name was not left out in the blame game, many said the performance of Akufo-Addo hugely reflected on the December poll of 2024.

The poll showed how the public felt about the party's defeat, with a sizable majority of voters blaming important government officials as well.
