President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Asddo has explained how the Accra-Tema Motorway Expansion Project will benefit Ghanaians. He said that the project marks a significant milestone in our ongoing efforts to modernize Ghana's infrastructure and ensure that our nation remains competitive in the 21st century. On Monday, 26th August 2024, Mr Akufo-Addo cut the sod for the commencement of work for the reconstruction of the Accra-Tema Motorway Expansion Project. He stated that originally commissioned in 1965 by Ghana's first President, Kwame Nkrumah, the Accra-Tema Motorway has been a vital artery for nearly six decades, carrying an average of 45,000 vehicles daily. Now, the time has come to renew this legacy, and ensure it continues to serve the people of Ghana for generations to come, he said.
