Controversial Ghanaian songstress Mzbel attacked Charterhouse, organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), for being hypocritical in deciding which songs are not eligible for awards.
Mzbel, in a video sighted by GhanaCelebrities.Com, noted that legendary singer Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, sang the most profane songs in Ghana yet scooped up all the awards in his prime.
She recalled that during her prime, her two biggest songs, '16 Years' and 'Awoso Me', were both frowned upon for having profane language and that stopped them from winning at the then-VGMA's.
Mzbel noted that a massive campaign was instituted to stop '16 Years' from winning, which ended up being successful. 'Awoso Me' was formally barred from the awards with the excuse of it having profanity in its lyrics.
