Dr John Osae Kwapong, Fellow at the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD), has backed the Attorney General's (AG) public engagements on corruption cases.

According to him, such discourse is a way to furnish citizens about the government's anti-corruption efforts.

He emphasised that despite the need to follow due processes in treating issues on graft, public engagements also play a crucial role in shaping the views of the public about corruption fight. "This Attorney General, I believe, is trying to balance the legal side with the need to demonstrate to the public that efforts are being made.

Citizens should be able to judge whether these efforts are in the right or wrong direction," he said on Newsfile on March 29.
