The Ministry of the Interior has debunked claims suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.
This comes on the back of growing speculation on social media that some religious leaders receive preferential treatment during security screenings.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the Ministry labeled the claims as "baseless, entirely false, and should be disregarded immediately." The Ministry reaffirmed that security protocols apply to all individuals without exception, emphasizing the government's commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency, and national safety. "The Ministry of Interior is compelled to address a disturbing trend of misinformation circulating on social media, suggesting that certain individuals, including pastors, have been granted special privileges to bypass security checks.
The Ministry of the Interior wishes to state categorically that these claims are baseless, entirely false, and should be disregarded immediately," the post stated.
