President has cautioned Muslim youth against reckless motorcycle riding and driving during the Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, emphasising the dangers associated with such behavior.

Speaking at the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration at the Black Star Square in Accra on March 31, 2025, President Mahama stressed the need for unity and joy during this time, noting that this is not the occasion for dangerous driving that puts lives at risk.

He further stated that law enforcement agencies had been instructed to take action against offenders to prevent accidents. "Ramadan is a period of togetherness, not recklessness," he said, urging young people to celebrate responsibly. "In the past, we have witnessed the needless loss of lives due to reckless motorcycle riding and driving, which is often associated with the Ramadan celebration.

I urge our brothers who engage in this to stop," he cautioned.
