The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has advised road users to exercise caution and responsibility during the upcoming Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.
This is aimed at preventing road crashes and ensuring an incident-free festive period.
A statement issued by the authority congratulated the Muslim community in Ghana for their dedication and perseverance throughout the 30-day fasting period. "As we approach the joyous occasion of Eid ul-Fitr, the Authority joins in the celebrations with prayers for peace, good health, and the desired attitude to deliver safety during the festive time," the statement read.
It also urged pedestrians to avoid jaywalking and to use designated crossing points, such as zebra crossings and pedestrian footbridges, to prevent accidents.
