Teachers and students of Anloga Senior High Secondary School (Anseco) and residents of Atsugbor Electoral Area in the Anloga District of the Volta Region are in a state of shock and panic after lightning claimed the life of a teacher in the area.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at about 1745 hours during a heavy downpour characterised by thunderstorms.
James Fiati, the Assembly Member of the area, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, said the incident has left many residents traumatised as the area had not experienced such a tragic incident for a very long time. "I received calls from some of my residents on Wednesday evening about a man who was in a raincoat and was lying motionless in the middle of the road, while it was still raining with no sign of anybody present with him, and it was so terrible a situation," Mr.
