Nigerian movie legend Segun Arinze has raised concerns about the changing face of Nollywood, pointing out that the industry's legacy is not as strong as it once was.

While speaking with Noella Kharyne Yalley on JoyNews' E Corner, Segun admitted that while Nollywood is still progressing, its foundation has been altered over time.

He acknowledged the changes but noted that things are not the same as they used to be. "Even though it is slightly distorted today, we are still on track, and nothing is ever perfect," he said. The thespian believes one of the biggest challenges Nollywood faces is the gradual loss of authenticity in storytelling.

He stressed that the industry is moving away from the traditional African narratives that once made it unique. "We are losing originality," he pointed out, adding that modern storytelling no longer carries the same cultural depth.
